Lost passport please help🙏🏾

Hey guys,

I recently lost my passport with my study visa inside. I want to replace it (I'm in SA) but they want the "original National ID".
I have never had one of those cards (either metal or plastic) but when I got my passport I got given this green paper that's like my ID. A4 in size and they call it a Chitupa.

Do you guys reckon it will be good enough for a passport?
