Taiwo and Kehinde Lijadu were identical twins, and when they sing together it's almost spooky. Their voices lock together so naturally that half the time they sound like one person who somehow learned to harmonize with themselves. "Come On Home" rolls in on a thick Afro-funk groove full of bright guitars, rubbery bass lines, crisp percussion, and vocal harmonies that somehow feel completely relaxed while being incredibly tight.

One of the coolest things about the song is how effortlessly it blends influences. You can hear West African rhythmic traditions sitting right alongside American funk, soul, and just a splash of psychedelic rock. None of it feels forced or like someone checking genre boxes—it all belongs together. Listen to the rhythm section for a minute. The bass isn't just following the drums, the guitars aren't just strumming chords, and the percussion isn't simply keeping time. Everybody has their own little job, weaving around each other until the whole thing clicks into one giant groove. It's the musical equivalent of a perfectly organized traffic circle that somehow never has a traffic jam. Before long you'll probably find yourself nodding along without realizing it...and then wondering why more people aren't talking about the Lijadu Sisters.
