So I walked out of my apartment building today and saw a tree fell down. Someone moved the branch on to the lawn next to our gate.

There was a baby pigeon just sitting on the fallen branch, in the open, next to the gate, no survival instincts whatsoever. He just decided to stick to his branch, even if it meant staying next to the road, when people with dogs walk right by.

I went shopping, came back, he was still just sitting there. It's not the greatest place to stay for a baby. Dogs, cars, someone was going to pick up & throw away that fallen branch soon. I was debating myself a lot, but I decided to move him to a tree 5m from the tree that fell down, so he wouldn't be sitting in the open on the floor just waiting to be eaten.

I definetly stressed this little baby chicken. He can't really fly yet, but obviously he wasn't going to let some giant creature just pick him up, but I managed to move him to the highest branch I could reach, so he could stay hidden. It's almost right next to the fallen tree, so his parent should be able to easily find him.

I really hope I did the right thing. Otherwise poor baby would be just stuck on the grass and my asshole neighbors definetly wouldn't try to stop his dog if he tried to get him :(

I hope I did the right thing
