What type or brand guitar should I get as a beginner?

I wasn't sure if I should get an acoustic or electric and after some thinking I decided that I don't mind either.. I'm also not sure about which brands are best, but I've heard Yamaha is a pretty basic reliable option ?) Any suggestions for a decision or a brand would be greatly appreciated 🥹
