Legion go Z1 extreme, 16gb. Is it good for a docked 1080p experience on Tv? Realistically how long does the battery last on handheld? Is it fully SteamOS optimized?

QUESTION

Hi everyone, I've wanted to build myself a gaming PC for 1080p gaming for a while, but I've realized that portability is very important to me.

I then thought about getting a gaming laptop, but I already have a good ThinkPad for work, so it wouldn't make sense.

Now I'm considering the Legion Go Z1 Extreme, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD for 400 euros.

Does that seem like a good price to you?

My use case would be at home on a 24-inch TV, but also during long stretches where I have to wait endless hours for work, so I'd need a device with a battery life of at least 2-3 hours that also works well on a TV.

It seems like a good product to me, but I have some doubts:

In your opinion, can it handle 1080p games decently when connected via a dock to a TV? If so, at 1080p do the graphics settings have to be set to Low, or is there some hope for Medium or even High? Does it have FSR?

Realistically, how long does the battery last?

I mainly play indie titles, but I'd also like to be able to play games like Deep Rock Galactic, Helldivers 2, or modern 3D games in general.

I've seen that SteamOS can also be installed on it, which interests me a lot. Is it well implemented? In terms of battery life or gaming performance, is it optimized, or is it better to stick with Windows?

Thanks everyone for any answers
