Question on dealer haggling
I'm looking at a 2026 chevy trax lt.
I found one used with 1500 miles nearby at a dealer. They had it listed at 23,4995 but when I went to talk to them they added $400 for nitro in tires, $400 for anti theft protection, $1500 for glasscoat and it came out to 28k.
I told them I don't want any of that but they said it's already applied.
I went direct to a Chevy dealer and they quoted me new at just over 30k.
Would it be unreasonable for me to counter offer 24.5k on the used and tell then I'm not paying markup for a bunch of BS add ons even if they're pre applied?
I want to make sure I'm not coming in too low.
Or should I go even lower?
I don't know what the market looks like in 2026.
They said they've had it 30 days and I don't think it's seen many test drives.
