it feels like people are unaware of the fact that all characters in their own verses are the way they are for a reason, they are as powerful as they are needed to be in their story + the fact that you can just in half a minute think of a character stronger than goku, superman or actually a character which can beat every single verse in existence combined by just imagining your character beating them (but that obviously wouldnt be fun because having an omnipotent character which can erase everyone and everything + erase fiction/reality itself is just boring, its not even a proper character, its just a plot ending device)

its more like a circlejerk of some sort where people who like a certain media just want to feel validated for it, basically, its not even really about power, its about people who like a character and need everyone else to agree that character is the strongest/the best so that they can feel good about themselves

\+ a lot of the time, a vague, poorly shown feat gets treated as gospel if its their favorite character BUT the exact same kind of feat from someone elses character gets picked apart word by word, its so stupid, and even characters like goku, superman, or one punch man arent shown killing a gazillion enemies or erasing galaxies whenever they fight because like i said, infinite power isnt fun to write, theyre all grounded on purpose, same as everyone else

and FYI, i dont hate powerscalling in general, seems like a fun little side activity but i hate when people take it a bit TOO seriously

i HATE powerscaling arguments
