Patron question

If someone ties me, I get a notification that I have been dethroned, but there are a few instances where I'm ahead of second place by a few points and it hasn't made me the Patron. It's there something I'm missing how that works? These are all over 50+ points as well, so it's not a minimum threshold issue.
