Love triangle

I have been dating this guy for a few months then I he placed a females details in front of me but this other female seems to be positioned in his life. He seems to try a lot with explaining himself every time I push him away. Is he worth that chance he is asking for plus there is also someone in the books that seems like a love interest but I don't like him physically. I prefer the one that's hurting me in terms of appearance but I feel exhausted over both because I feel like I am still not finding that which is exactly for me. Should I just settle is this how life is? Or I should keep searching for people to date in the hopes of finding something that clicks. Mind you we broke up and I almost offed myself over it.
