The Star ending as Fem V while romancing Judy is such a great ending!
So I think we can all agree that good female representation in games is a little…lackluster. But god damn if Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t a breath of fresh air. And especially if you’re Valarie romancing Judy and riding into the sunset with Panam and the Aldecaldos.
I get why people are sad that you can’t romance Panam as female V. I am too, for sure. But there’s also something so…cathartic about these two women who are there for each other no matter what.
Some guy stole your shit and screwed you over? Say less, bestie - let’s go get it back!
You got some chooms who need to get the fuck outta Dogtown? I’m there for ya, girl. Send ‘em my way.
You need to steal a tank to protect your family? Perfect timing - just finished sharpening Byakko!
Gotta break into the biggest, most secure facility this side of the Pacific? Got your back, babe!
Meanwhile with Judy, you have that bonded connection through pain and joy and hope. You both lost people close to you. You both care deeply about helping others even if it means you have to suffer. You both ultimately just want to live in peace and calm and healing. Together you can develop this deep, emotional connection that’s just so beautiful, whether you romance her or not.
And then in the Star ending, the three of you go start the next big part of your lives. Together. These three women - each strong in their own, very different ways - help each other find what they’ve been looking for.
Anyways, I just needed to post about how incredible this game is! That’s all. Thanks for coming to my TED talk!
