Baby-lesbian struggles

Hi everyone

I have finished the circle of thinking that I am only attracted to men and accepted that I am a lesbian.
It’s so freeing saying it btw.

I have started seeing this girl who I feel like am almost obsessed with, I am bewitched; can’t think about anything else but her even though I only know her for 2 weeks or so

But my friends who are lesbians too told me that I am too green and I shouldn’t attach because I will be hurting a lot when/if we break up. Which I know because I literally started crying just now when I was typing the words (break up)

Have anyone else encountered similar state? How do I detach if it’s possible (I am pretty sure I am in love with her)
