What’s your part in it
This saying bothered me in AA.
AA would always say “what’s your part in it”. They never acknowledge that alcohol is a drug. Highly addictive. Yes we all chose to drink and abuse. No doubt there. Now take the social media CEOs, dragged before congress because their products are addictive. Causing teen girls to have mental health problems from bullying, comparison etc. Some suicides. I want to know would an AA person to go up to those parents and say “what’s was your child’s part in it”.
They chose to consume the product initially, correct? Then became addicted because those products are addictive. Alcohol gets normalized and marketed as fun, etc to get you to buy their products.
Is this a fair comparison?
