Australias Monopoly problem

Lots of people talk about all the money Australia isn't getting from its resources. In the US 12% is considered a monopoly.

Monopolies love taxes, fines, rules for companies other than them because they can absorb the cost while kicking out competition. Like how under COVID only smaller stores had to go under lockdown?

Coles and West farmer - 60-80% of groceries.

Origin- 30% of east cost power, 25% of NSW power, when including AGL & EnergyAustralia it's 64%.

Top 4 banks own 70% of lending

Airlines - Qantas group and virgin Australia control 99% of domestic airline market. Up from a 95% dominance over 5 years.

Your fast food is probably under Wesfarmers and they'll raise that as high as they can.

Monopolies are a problem that is part of all of Australia and it pisses me off.
