Not much to add except that social media commenters asked why a muzzle wasn't used (valid point) and were very sad the dog was euthed but few expressed similar sentiments for the victim.

BOARDMAN - A dog was euthanized after police say it attacked a worker at Animal Charity of Ohio on Tuesday.

According to a police report, the attack happened when the worker was holding a pit bull named Dior while a veterinarian was trying to give it vaccines when it bit the worker in all four of her limbs.

She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say blood was covering the floor and walls down a corridor in the facility.

Animal Charity Board President Jenny Falvey said in a statement that the worker is recovering at home and is expected to be ok.

Meanwhile, the shelter decided to humanely euthanize Dior for the safety of its staff and the public.
