Family with a family into the Air Force/ Space Force

Thinking about joining the Air Force enlisted side and trying to understand how the moving process works for someone with a family.
I’m married and have one child. I know the military helps pay for moves/relocation, but I’m confused about the timeline.
Do I leave for BMT first while my wife and child stay home? Then after tech school, once I get my first duty station, does the Air Force move my family there? How does BAH work during BMT and tech school if I already have dependents?
Also, what should we expect out of pocket during the move? Do they ship household goods, help with travel costs, and give any advance money, or do you pay first and get reimbursed later?
Trying to understand the real process from people who have gone through it with a spouse and kid. Any advice or things you wish you knew beforehand would help.
