v0.14.0 — data viz, web scraping, media tools, and an honest integration audit

A busy week on Chimera (v0.12 → v0.14), all in the same spirit — orchestrate models and tools, don't reimplement them:

• Charts two ways: a data-visualization skill that writes matplotlib/plotly code for the sandbox, and a render-chart tool that renders a Vega-Lite spec — inert JSON data, not code, so it's safer to pass around than generated plotting code.

• Web: read fully-rendered pages, plus scrape / extract / map / crawl with injection-safe structured extraction (a hostile page returns a wrong value at worst, never an instruction).

• Media & data: speech-to-text, media download, a data-analysis skill, and local image generation (FLUX, fully offline).

Then the honest part: I ran a full integration audit of the whole repo and caught my own new skills being dead weight — registered and listed by the CLI, but the agent loop never actually consulted them. Fixed in v0.14.0 (the agent now surfaces relevant skills into its plan), plus I closed a taint-tracking hole on the media downloader. Null results and self-corrections ship too — that's the point.

pip install chimera-agent==0.14.0 · Apache-2.0 · still alpha.
