Accidentally grinned at a guy on Amtrak
I ride the commuter train in the morning, so generally the same people are on the platform every morning. A couple of weeks ago it was my last day of work before a long vacation and I was thinking about the trip. One of the regular commuter guys walked by and I was already fully smiling, but then I made eye contact and fully grinned at him as he was walking. He made eye contact and his eyebrows went all the way up, but he did not smile back, just kept walking to the other train car.
Previously, we have smiled at each other getting out of our cars, but I almost always have headphones in, so we’ve not spoken. I find him wildly attractive. We’re both definitely over 40. He doesn’t wear a ring.
Since I’ve been back from my trip I’ve noticed that he waits in his car until the train is pulling up and he no longer seems to walk through the train car before he de-trains. Could one silly grin really make someone change their habits, or is it just coincidence? I’m seriously overthinking this aren’t I? I’d just like to talk to him one time to see if there are vibes…but who wants to be hit on during a morning commute? Ugh.
