Keyboard mapping a Controller for my M1 Mini?

I really want to find a way to map a Bluetooth controller for video playback and screenshots, and I am confused by the results I’ve found so far.

I want to map a controller with these basic features: Skip Backward/Forward; Play/Pause; Take Screenshot. I figure I could just map a controller with the left/right arrow keys and make a keyboard shortcut for take screenshot.

Is this something I can do with my M1 Mini? And if so, what are the apps/controllers I should use? Figuring this out wound be a huge help, so I’d really appreciate any advice!
