Getting exhausted with a friend that has low self esteem and constant obsession with appearance

Friendships

I will try and make this short. I have a close friend let’s call her “Jay”.
We met 5 plus years ago thru a mutual friend and over time have become super close friends. I love her dearly, she is beautiful and hard working. We live aways from eachother so I only see her a handful times a year.
I’ve noticed the last two ish years we have spent time together. She spends over an hour to get ready every time we leave the house. She won’t go to the gym with me without showering BEFORE. She refuses to wear her hair up so she has to style every day. After she gets ready and changes her outfits three times, she the takes 100 selfies. And then insists we take some together each one she criticizes for one reason or another. I try to converse while we are driving (me driving ) and she will go silent taking pictures of herself for what feels like the entire drive. She then rants on about what guys she’s talking to and how she has to send them selfies so they know she’s “hot”
She will also put on an item of clothing and obsess over a non existent thigh roll that sticks out below the shorts or how her skirt is curled up in one corner in the picture. But then throws a fit saying “whatever I guess this is just what I look like ! “
My group of friends I spend the majority of my time with really are not like this. We barely talk about appearance, even if we are dressing up to go out. We don’t often take pictures. Maybe a few together a year.
I just am baffled and getting burnt out of constantly reassuring Jay of her appearance. I am over getting sent 10 selfies of the same face asking which one looks best for her new profile picture and over taking pictures with her to send to men I don’t know.
Is this someone I need to distance myself from or is worth having a conversation. I’m going to blow up on her on the next visit if I don’t change something.
