My husband is a 60% skeptic, 40% believer. I am a 20% skeptic, 80% believer. The other day we shared a very weird experience that was entirely new to both of us.

Context: Our kitchen is connected to a hallway that leads to bedrooms. The door at the end of the hallway has a mirror screwed into the door, so you can see the hallway and kitchen/living room behind you.

One night after feeding our 2 black cats dinner in the kitchen, we were walking to the bedroom. Hallway light was off because the kitchen light illuminated enough to see. My husband was behind me. I was turned backwards to talk to my husband and I could see the cats still finishing their dinner in the kitchen. When I turned back towards the hall as we approached the bedroom, I stopped so suddenly that I stumbled because I saw a cat outside my bedroom door and it startled me, I thought I was going to step on it. In turn, it ran off into the only open bedroom door. I stood there for a while because I felt genuinely crazy that I stumbled over nothing and my heart was totally racing. I turned to my husband and before I said anything he asked, “….. Did you see a cat?” He said he saw a cat run across me in the mirror reflection!!

I ran into the open bedroom and no creatures were in there (and there is no furniture to hide behind). My husband had gone to the kitchen and said both of our cats were still in there! Neither of us have ever seen an entity of any sort and it totally shook us.

*Photo does NOT show any entity, it’s simply where I first saw the cat vs where my husband first saw it (mid run in reflection) and the path we saw it take! I thought it might help others visualize the experience.*

My husband and I saw a ghost cat run past us?
