So after completing RE9 for 100%, I went back to play the RE2 remake. Is it me or is this game a LOT shorter than I remember it to be?

The Leon A/Claire A campaigns feel like cakewalks at this point.

Leon B/Claire B just felt like a fun little speedrun

Mr X. Felt like a footnote. Its like once you know he's in the game, just keep moving and dont even bother using your weapons unless you absolutely have to.

Don't even ask about the sherry section. Just no. I wish it was optional. I know its part of the story, but sometimes less is more.

Chief irons not receiving a more brutal death...tsk tsk.

Ben getting yeeted out of existence before he could even contribute anything 🤣🤣🤣🤣

also, the amount of pistols you have in the game is a bit funny.

Sure the starting ones get modified to the point they arent pistols anymore but still. Even with the dlc, thats a lot of pistols.

Part of me misses the whole zapping system. Even if it was just very small inputs, it still affected certain outcomes in game.

Like it would have been cool if you blew Marvin's brains out in one scenario and it played out in the next. Or if X was relegated to only one campaign and we got something completely different in the 2nd run. Small mis-steps are definitely noticeable, especially now considering playtime after playing a lot of RE in the last few months.

I like the game and think its good. I guess its just the rose tinted glasses are off this time.

The second go around with RE2 remake
