Nervous for apartment search in December

hey everyone! i’m new here, and will be moving to the city in December. admittedly i’m extremely nervous for housing. i realize im part of the problem with the housing shortage, but i recently pulled the trigger to relocate for my job to close the gap between my long distance boyfriend and I.

seeing the mass of people with unsuccessful 6+ month searches has me second guessing my choices and have made me quite anxious.

wondering if anyone has any tips or piece of advice?
