After traveling back and forth from LATAM(Mostly Mexico and Colombia) for 2 years. I’ve come to conclusion I have zero desire to build or maintain any relationships besides family and a few life long friends. Everybody else just seems like for lack of a better word NPCs. I’ve even tried visiting big and small cities but compared to Spanish countries it’s just boring AF. America is so structured and has so many rules it feels like a luxury jail cell sometimes. Just got back from the World Cup and seeing Mexico just let people be people in the streets after games was amazing to experience. Mind you, 100k people in the streets after games until 5am would never happen in the host cities here. Nightlife is definitely plug and play anywhere south of the border so that’s a huge plus. Never thought I’d be so disconnected from my home country this early. Anybody else can relate?
