Collector launched me

I was leaving the tadpole pens, and about 3/4 of the way across, it caught me, and did 2 damage to my tadpole. Then once it let go I got LAUNCHED at an unbelievable speed, back to the tadpole pens, past them, ending just past the whole tadpole pen complex. The game slowed me down quick, but it flung me fast enough to make me cross that whole trench, has this happened to anyone else?
