Is it normal for this game to run like total dogshit on ps5? (performance mode btw)

So i recently started playing, i always play performance mode but holy shit this game runs BAD like the pop in is absurd, it happens constantly, and the frame rate also drops very often, even goes sub 30fps some times. I have a base ps5 slim so i didn't expect it to run so badly. i don't think im missing a patch or smth?
