Alternate theme?

Finishing up Dark Side, which means I’ll soon have no new KB to play (not sure why I took so long to play this one). Got me thinking what I would want to see in a new one.

I wouldn’t be opposed to switching it up to a sci-fi theme. Lots of options for creative units and teams. Could even keep Magic in it if you wanted to go Starfinder, but would be cool to find a sci-fi replacement for the spell book.

With lasers and such, it would be interesting to add cover and line of sight, as sometimes I feel cheap being able to shoot arrows through something my dragons can’t even fly over.

I’d also like to see bigger maps with more elements, maybe even adding levels like catwalks and such. Also, melee units having weak but available ranged options could help keep them usable on large maps while they try to close distance (cover would be good here too).

I love the combat in KB as well as how the character and their units improve. Just eager for some added elements and ultimately just having a new game to play.
