download speed issue

My download speed is 968.1 kbps and my signal strength is 98%, i’ve changed all the network settings to make it faster and nothings working, also I cleaned the dust out of it about a week ago and it jumped to 300mbps and it just keeps going down since. Does anyone have a solution to this?
