Severe Sciatica
A few days/weeks ago, I made a post about my situation. You can read it if you want to familiarize yourself with my situation.

More or less, I have sciatica pain so bad I can barely do anything. Standing for more than 2-3 minutes gets so painful that I'm convulsing from the pain. I've found if I bend over while walking I can make it around my house, but it only delays the onset of the pain, doesn't prevent it. Sitting is uncomfortable, lying down is uncomfortable, standing is unbearable. Pretty much only lying on my right side somewhat relieves the pain enough for me to be comfortable enough to sleep. I'm still trying to work, desk job from home, but I'm having to take breaks to lie down every hour or 2 for a couple minutes at a time. I'm also trying to stay moving around every 15-30 minutes to not get too stiff. Focus for work isn't great because of the discomfort.
I've been consulting with a neurosurgeon and they are recommending a Foraminotomy. The problem is the soonest they can do it is a few weeks from now. I don't want to wait that long. I've already been dealing with this issue for close to 2 months, with the worst of it being the last 3-4 weeks.
Would going to the ER do anything to speed up the process? I've been trying to be patient and follow the process, but I'm missing out on life (mid 30s with kids) and I know an hour procedure could potentially get me back to normal.
I just don't know what to do. It's really frustrating because I was told one surgery date and then was told it was given to someone else and I was pushed back. I know there are people likely worse off than I am, but this sucks.
