Should I give him a chance, or is the lack of feelings enough to walk away?
I’m 20F and I’ve been talking to a guy I met online. He’s kind, respectful, gentle, texts first, asks about my day, and genuinely seems interested in getting to know me. He asked me out, and I’m considering going.
The problem is that I don’t really feel a strong attraction to him. He seems almost too soft for my personality, and I keep wondering if I’m trying to convince myself to like him because he’s a genuinely good person.
Something else that’s been on my mind is that I’m still a virgin. Part of me thinks that if I ever have my first sexual experience, someone like him would probably make me feel much safer than a more confident or assertive guy. He’s the type of person I imagine would be patient and respectful.
But then I catch myself thinking… why am I even worrying about that if I don’t have strong feelings for him in the first place? It feels strange that my mind is already jumping so far ahead when we’ve never even met.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal to think this way? How do you tell the difference between appreciating that someone feels safe and actually being romantically attracted to them?
and after all, what do i do? 😭
