New to dog grooming - advice and experience wanted!

Hi there

My husband is changing careers to be an independent dog groomer in the UK. He is completing a qualification and is in the process of setting up a salon in the garage. He has a business plan, but we would appreciate some advice and experience from other groomers.

\- what was your first 6-12 months of grooming like?
\- did you quickly find enough clientele for your business to be feasible? (Feasible to us may mean something different to others, because this career also gives us flexibility with childcare.)
\- what issues did you encounter in the first year?

Any other piece of advice you can give? It’s always scary starting something new, no matter how passionate you are 💜
