So frustrated with interview process

2 separate times now, I have done the recruiter call, passed the technical screen interview, and then after the HM interview I have been completely ghosted.

1 time sure, but twice?? I don’t understand what could possibly be happening here. The HM interview both times has just been a good conversation about some previous projects at my current company.

To be clear, both times the calls seem to have gone well, I am friendly and always get along well with new people. And since zero feedback has been provided either time, I have absolutely no idea what my takeaway from this experience should be.

Just incredibly frustrated to have had to make up several fake doctors appointments at work, just to interview for jobs I seemingly never had even a chance at getting.

The only guess I can even make is that the HM doesn’t bother to read the resumes of the people interviewing until the 3rd round, at which point they just decide some percentage of the candidates never had a chance anyway. Terrible.
