Is the HP EliteBook 845 G10 a good long-term business laptop? Looking for owners' opinions.
Hi everyone,
I'm considering buying a used HP EliteBook 845 G10 with the following specs:
Ryzen 5 PRO (7000 series)
16 GB RAM (upgradeable)
256 GB SSD
14" WUXGA display with HP Sure View Privacy
Battery health: 50 Wh out of 51 Wh (almost like new)
Price: around $790
I'm a medical student, so my workload mainly consists of web browsing, studying with many PDFs open, Microsoft Office, occasional programming, and light photo/video editing. I also want something that will last me for many years.
The problem is that I haven't found many real user experiences with the EliteBook 845 G10. so it's hard to know how good this laptop actually is in day-to-day use.
For those who own or have used one:
How has it held up over time?
How are the build quality, keyboard, thermals, and battery life?
Have you experienced any common issues or reliability problems?
Would you recommend buying it in 2026?
Finally, if you think there's another business laptop in the same price range (around $800 used) that's a better choice, I'd love to hear your recommendations
