Is there a way to cheese the astra malorum fight?

I didn't play bo7 much at launch and I'm going back now to complete all of the maps. I straight up can't beat this boss. I know, skill issue. I was 300hp and died immediately from a single boulder. And he just never stops throwing them. Running, sprinting, jumping, etc. They seem to hit me anyway, even if I don't appear that close.

I can't find the motivation to load it up again without a new strategy 😭

I know the Frenzied Guard + WW method was patched long ago. Is there any way else the community has found to make it easier?
