Crash zone vs Abyss nightmare

I've noticed that nightmare feels completely different in the two zones. In the abyss, it's got more stats, improved enemies and projectiles, but overall it's really not that bad and dare I say reasonable to play. Meanwhile in the crash zone on top of all that they also seemed to have revamped the spawn rates and basically every wave from 6 onwards feels like horde wave and the whole thing is completely unhinged to play. My only wins in crash zone were insane high rolls and even those had several brushes with death.
