Got scammed

Recently, my friend found a TikTok video selling a Vienna bronze piece. It looked pretty legit the account was decent with nice photos. She messaged the seller, they agreed on $400 and she paid half through Venmo. After that there was no shipping update she was not responding to our messages and a few days later her account was gone Her mother loved antics and she was saving money for quite some time to buy it for and it made me very sad. We have complained about the scammer but how easy it is to fall for this kind of thing when the account looks real and the item looks genuine. If you're buying antiques or collectibles from TikTok sellers please be careful. Try to look for cash on delivery options.
