Four years ago today...
It was four years ago today that I was told "five or six years." I pretty much knew that already because I'd seen my bone scan, so the bad news wasn't such a shock. But, trying to be macho, the first words out of my mouth were "I can live with that."
There can be humor in just about anything, and that sentence I uttered makes me laugh when I tell people.
I've been through ADT (still on Lupron) and I've been through Pluvicto. My PSA is good (I know it's not a great indicator of disease progression) and I feel great. I'm pretty confident I'll be around for a long time. And if not, the biggest drag for me isn't fear - we'll all die of something - it would be disappointment about the things I didn't get to do.
