Please Help me choose between Fuji X-M5 and Insta 360 Luna

Help

This might seem like an odd comparison, but I’m torn between the Insta360 LUNA and the Fujifilm X-M5.

This camera will be my only camera,

I’ve previously owned a Sony ZV-1 II, and I liked its compact size a lot although It did overheat fairly often. I ended up selling it because I really needed the money at the time.

I’m mainly going to use it for YouTube:

/cinematic vlogs,
/talking head videos,
/storytelling,
/visual essays,
/everyday life videos.

Tbh I’m a newbie and don’t know my style yet! I love creators like Life of Riza, but I also enjoy filming simple raw everyday moments, cinematic details, shooting little close-up inserts, objects, textures, creative compositions, foreground/background separation… I’m still exploring.

I also enjoy photography but honestly it’s more of a sweet bonus than the priority.

My dilemma:

Fujifilm X-M5

What I love:

/the colors and overall Fuji vibe
/film simulations (I’m obsessed with them)
/interchangeable lenses
/room to grow as I learn

My concern is the lack of IBIS. I know the kit lens has OIS, but I’m not sure whether it’s enough for handheld vlogging. I don’t film myself walking much yet, but I’d like the option to do it.

Insta360 LUNA

What I love:

/stabilization;
/detachable screen;
/AI tracking;
/tiny size;
/it seems like the kind of camera I’d actually take everywhere and start recording without overthinking.

Buuuuuuuuttt I’m not a huge fan of the very clean, digital look. I also don’t like that there’s no real lens ecosystem, no film simulations like Fuji, and not much room to grow creatively.

I’ve also considered the Fujifilm X-S20 because of IBIS, but it feels a bit bigger than I’d like. Portability really matters to me because I know that’s what will help me stay consistent.

My budget is around $1,000.

If you were in my shoes, which would you choose and why?

I’d especially love to hear from people who’ve actually used one (or both) of these cameras.

Thanks so much!!
