Fuck FL

My account was banned for responding to someone from FL boasting, "Y'all come here and pay our taxes." I reposted the original post, but unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to respond to the person from FL. Here we go:

Blue states perform better on health-system measures. More people stay alive. Infant mortality rate is higher in Red states. More babies die. Red states have a higher incarceration rate. More people in jail. Pre-Covid, Blue states had higher math/reading scores. Now we're all dumb. Red states take more taxes than they give. Blue states subsidize Red states.

FL somehow ranks #1 in Education, but is 50th in teacher pay? Pushing everyone through the school system to pump up the graduation rate and lowering admission standards at copious State schools does not equal academic excellence. No one is healthier, but healthcare costs in FL are among the highest in the US. >$3,000 more in FL than the national average. Infant mortality rate is higher in FL than the rest of the US. 3rd largest prison population in the US. Median income is lower than the National average. FL has a higher poverty rate than the average US state. Tourism generates $33B in tax revenue for FL. 2025 tax revenue was about $63B. Without the subsidies of tourism, FL would be destitute. Disney $ and beach $ from out-of-state are the only reason FL exists.
