Big 4 Recruiting

I have 2 big four internships, one in audit and another in deal advisory, for winter and summer 2027. Have the firms already correctly cut back on internship spots for my year because they realized they over hired in previous years? or is my year going to be another year where they over hired and don’t give a lot of return offers?
