How did your last job opportunity/interview actually happen?

I’m job hunting and I honestly can’t tell anymore which of the things I’m doing are worth the time. So I’d rather just hear how it actually went for people instead of guessing.

If you’ve gotten an interview or an offer here, can you walk me through how it actually came about. The last real one. What did you actually do that led to it, from the first moment you heard about the role to getting the interview.

Whatever you’re willing to share. How you found it or who found it for you. Whether a person was involved anywhere in it. What you had to prepare. And honestly how much the visa or sponsorship stuff shaped where you even bothered to look.

Curious if there’s a pattern here or if everyone’s figuring it out their own way, because I feel like I’m making this up as I go.
