Royalton splash questions

Family of 4, we’ll be staying at the royalton splash in a diamond club family room. We are going with another family of 4, separate reservations. I see that we can pay for and choose our rooms to guarantee we have our rooms nearby or next to each other. I’m struggling to find any reviews of the different buildings for which are better than others.

Also, were there life jackets/puddle jumpers at the pool?
