I built a Mac app for local AI captions because I wanted karaoke-style subtitles without a subscription, it grew from there.
Quick Mode: pick a template, drag and drop your videos (as many as you want), and it batches them automatically. Handles mixed codecs/aspect ratios/resolutions in a single batch.
Project Mode: for when you want to review and edit. Correct words, adjust timing phrase by phrase, or word by word on a waveform timeline. See your corrections live on the video in the editor. Scene-cut detection flags captions that straddle a cut so you can fix them before burning.
Exports SRT, VTT, ASS and TXT files, MKV's with soft captions, or videos with burned in captions however you configure them (standard captions, word by word, highlights, different colors/fonts/sizes/locations).
The free version can do the full editing workflow but exports are limited to the first 30 seconds with a small watermark on burned video. There’s a 30-day full Pro trial built into the app, no card required. Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase, $14.99 launch price, no subscription ever.
Apple Silicon only.
