Putting images back onto SD card

I recently imported some raws off my SD card and onto my computer, then formatted the card. However, I realized after that I wanted to process those into JPEGs using the camera's processor, so I manually put them back onto the card, but now the camera doesn't recognize them. Is there a way to do this properly?
