Freshwater Snails for Saltwater Puffers?

Hello, is it safe to give saltwater puffers any type of freshwater snails in their diet? This wouldn't be their main source of nutrition, but a snack on the side. I plan on adding a green spotted to the tank, but already have a porcupinefish that may appreciate the snacks. I plan to possibly have even more puffers once I build a larger tank for them and want to take that into consideration before I choose a snail to breed.
