A few days ago I made a post about these two dolls, 331 from ufdoll and cane X2.0 from cane both on dollsphere for my future gintama cosplay dolls (this has now changed to Gintoki having the 326 doll from ufdoll). NOWHERE in post did i ask for a commission. However a person known as allthingsdancewithin who is not in ANY doll subreddits or groups and they don’t make BJDS they do have 3d models of figures that they have not printed and they have artwork on their instagram account known as rosy_moon.1.

They message me saying they were a bjd maker and that they could make gin and Hijikata. I talked to them a bit get to understand see some work they have (they never showed any bjd work) and prices. When I said that the whole dolls price budget is £500 (that includes the doll, eyes, hair, clothes, shoes and makeup) they switched from just making the heads to saying they could make the whole doll fullset again they have no bjd portfolio no wig making, makeup; clothing NOTHING and what I’m (I made this aware politely ) looking for is a 70cm HIGHLY ACCURATE cosplay bjds just like my moonlit wonder rbcg cloud strife fullset doll with aolingshi 70cm 2.0 body.

And then paying came (I did not send any personal details on my instagram account) and i told them I need wait time as the Zack and Reno doll heads from Huli dolls are first on the list and that the layaway starts in October they what it felt like did not listen to that i tried to push me to paying them in October as well (just to make this clear I will possibly be paying £600 to Huli so my priority are Zack’s and Renos heads it’s what I’m saving up for) I said no so, then they said i could $50 every two weeks to them again i said no and at that point I was uncomfortable and I no longer wanted it so I spoke to ioridolls on instagram for help.

Ioridolls then explained all the red flags about this person and how i shouldn’t trust them as BJDS are really hard to make a they don’t even have a bjd portfolio. After speaking with ioridolls about it i talked to the person again and called the commission off, the person replied with “ok”. Me and ioridolls are both hoping that person is NOT a scammer and could just of overestimated their skills and underestimated the art that goes into bjds.

I felt like this needed to be aware just incase someone else goes through the same thing.
