Arthur Telling DW About Batten Island

First off, I actually give Arthur props for probably being the immediate family member to actively seem to care the most about DW during this horrible episode.

When David is furious and actively telling her he’s about to chew her out (and probably spank her) Arthur actually looks kind of upset and worried about her…or surprised that she’s about to get punished.

And while he clearly doesn’t CARE that DW is crying and saying goodbye to him (at least no more than a sibling would be expected to care, and he’s clearly not taking her seriously, he at least answers her in a calm tone…unlike the awful tones Jane and David use towards her during this episode).

It makes me wonder (especially considering how often Arthur is expected to watch her) if Jane and David ever got around to asking her where DW is and if Arthur ever confessed about her asking him about what island was closest…and her saying goodbye to him.

I’d just as soon believe Thora called them and just told them to lie and pretend they were worried about her…nothing else in this episode implies that they give even the slightest flip about their toddler.
