Cyber Harassment On Social Media

I became acquainted with a woman from my native village, and during 2023 we had personal conversations that included mutual flirting and intimate texts. Over time, misunderstandings developed, and the first phase of communication ended in January 2025.

Communication resumed on 26 March 2026, but I permanently ended all contact on 1 May 2026 and have not communicated with her since.

After that, I came to know that she had shared selected screenshots of our private chats with several of my friends and relatives. To the best of my knowledge, around seven friends and one relative were contacted, mainly between 3 May and 18 May 2026.

Thereafter, an Instagram account repeatedly sent follow requests, changed usernames and profile pictures using references to me, my sister, my friends, my photograph . The account also publicly commented mentioning my name on a relative's Instagram post.

I have not responded to any of these attempts and have preserved screenshots of all relevant activity. I seek legal advice regarding whether this constitutes online harassment and the appropriate legal remedy.
