Upgrade 7900 gre to 9070xt?

So my current setup is a 7900 gre with a 7700x cpu with a xg32ucwg monitor. Ever since I upgraded my monitor I’ve been playing in 4k on all my games but don’t get the performance I’d like out of gpu. Is an upgrade to the 9070 xt worth it or should I wait for a better 9000 series card
