Kansas Lemon Law

Other Civil Matters

Location: Kansas

I have a 2022 Volkswagen Taos and have had a lot of issues with it. I’ve had to get my fuel pumps replaced, evap systems replaced, my start and stop switch replaced, and gas lines replaced. My car has started to shake and stopped accelerating multiple times while driving (2 times on the highway which were both terrifying). I have now taken it in three times to fix that issue and every time they’ve told me it’s something different and replaced different parts. My check engine light has come on a total of 8 times. I’ve talked to Volkswagen about my car struggling to accelerate. It always feels like it’s delayed when I’m driving. I also have noticed that when I press my engine button it almost sounds like it’s taking a few seconds to start still even after replacing the start and stop.

I do want to note that I have an active buy back case open with Volkswagen right now, but based off what the dealership has said, I don’t have a lot of hope that they’ll buy my car back or declare it as a lemon. My warranty ends this September and I’m just worried I’m going to be stuck with a money pit of a car. What should I do now?
