Very important question: what if I manipulate my assessor?

Diagnosis Journey

I have an online assessment coming up soon.

I read so much about autism over the years since I thought I might be autistic. I thought I didn’t need a diagnosis even if I am autistic and told myself I would just accommodate myself. But recently my feelings have changed and I opted for an assessment.

I’m so scared that the results won’t be true. What if I answer questions not based on my experience but based on what I think I should say as an autistic person? What if I exaggerate my own lived experience since I am looking through “I could be autistic” lenses. Or what if I answer questions like a NT since I study a lot about human behavior, interaction etc?

Please any advice is welcome
